Come, join us...
Join us for a horse packing trip into the Weminuche Wilderness, as Paul Boyer and the Open Shutter Workshop teams up with Over the Hill Outfitters.
This will be a five day photographic and horseback expedition, operating out of a high country base camp. Horses will transport us and our equipment to remote and wild areas of the Weminuche. All meals and camping tents will be provided, leaving us free to concentrate on photography.
Paul’s enthusiasm and patience will fire you up to expand your abilities in outdoor photography while you are completely submerged in nature. Gourmet meals will await you at camp as you photograph the last light of day. Dinner will be followed by fireside question and answer sessions, tall tales, and maybe even starlight photography.
All camping equipment will be provided, except for personal items such as sleeping bags. If necessary, the Over the Hill Outfitters can rent sleeping bags to workshop participants.
Digital photography will be encouraged, and all types of equipment will be welcome—from simple point and shoot cameras, to sophisticated professional equipment. Paul has experience with everything from large format film cameras to pocket digital cameras, and he keeps abreast of the rapidly changing world of digital photography.
